So the reason we do missionary work is.... WEEEEEE OOOOO WEEEEE OOOO

hey all!!! Today was a bit of a slower week, cause everyone in Canelones was sick, Hna Gentry included. So we had some good lessons, some good miracles, and some good laughs, but pretty slow nonetheless. First and foremost. Hermana Gentry is getting transferred. So we're mourning and depressed this week. Send prayers cause we're a lil sad about that one. 

MILAGRITOS:

• We have been working hard the last couple weeks to have an missionary work activity as a ward, and we got to do it this week! People seemed to enjoy it and we got some ideas running on how to share the gospel, so hopefully that sparks some energy for the members to do the work! Prayers that they can find people who are ready to hear the gospel!! 

JAJAJAJAJAJAJAs of the week: 

• Also at the activity, we had a bunch of the little kids there, which was SO fun, except right in the middle the activity the fire alarm went off cause one of them pulled it. We wont name names, but Mateo really thought he was hilarious. In his defense, the little fire alarm pull thing is WAY too low so that a 3 year old could reach it. It then led to about as much chaos as you can imagine, led by us needing to figure out how to shut it off because the thing to turn it off was all in English so the members had no idea how. We figured it out after about 20 minutes so yay for missionary work, cause I'm sure that's what everyone will remember from the activity, and definitely NOT the fire alarm. 

• We have a member friend who lives in a different ward, who texts us just about every day, who randomly sang us the Uruguay national anthem for no reason, and then followed it up with the France one, which then led her to beg us to sing the USA one, and would not leave us alone when we sent her the Tabernacle Choir singing it, so we finally just had to sing the whole national anthem for her. And then follow up and translate it for her since she didn't understand. So guess who learned how to say "perilous fight" and "ramparts" in Spanish? 

SHPIRITUAL SHPEEL: 

Yall. Please try and make your lives better. Like. You have the possibility of having whatever life you want. God gave you eternal potential. So instead of scrolling your phone for two more seconds, go reach that eternal potential. Learn a language. Study the scriptures. Learn about God. Go get to know a stranger. Love your neighbor. Go do, idk something! God has some crazy fun stuff in store for you. And most of that stuff is not gonna happen on your couch. So go love the Lord and love your friends. And your not friends. Life is good as we choose to see it as such. Life is also hard whether we choose to see it as such or not. So focus on the good. And create the good. God created a whole lot of good for us, and tells us every day to "fear not". So don't fear! Have hope! Hope changes everything. What would you do if you had more hope? Try and get a better job? Ask someone out on a date? Smile some more? Love some more? Hope changes it all, and allows you to live your life. So go out there and hope.
