*toilet paper wrapped tide pen cleaning a tortilla blanket*

Heyyyyy whats up yall?? This week was wild. So many random things happened so essentially it was a weird one. Vamo arriba!

THINGS THAT MADE ME LAUGH:

  • We had pizza 4 times this week. 2 of those times there was no cheese involved. Cause that's an optional thing here.
  • I hit my 9 months (halfway through bb) and so Hermana Gentry bought me a baby pacifier. Cause. Nine months. Anyway that made me laugh.
  • We went to go into a lesson with some members and the dad was rollin up a lil bit of powder in a lil white paper tube and then sniffing if you yall get what I'm getting at. Had a bit of a headache after that one. There's a first for everything I guess. Don't do drugs kids.
  • So we have a "noche de parties" every week every Friday night. We don't party. The people in the bar next to us and on the street have a BLAST though. And every Friday night from approximately 9pm-7am they are literally SCREAMING outside our window, and my bed is right next to the window, and so I'd like to just say that my spanish is now good enough that at 4am I can understand the conversation that the drunk people are having approximately 2 feet away. And I really wish I couldn't. Anyway so we left the house Saturday morning and there was a bottle half full of beer on my window sill, and a cup of beer on the other hermanas window sill. That got REAL awkward when a member came to drop off lunch and he saw those.

MILAGRITOS:

  • We got to go to the TEMPLE!!! Literally miracle of the week, I love that place. Props to Hermana Cabrera for being a newbie that hasn't gone to the temple in Uruguay yet. I seriously love the temple, I don't have words for it. The spirit there is just unmatched, and it makes me want to live my life in the temple.
  • Sunday night was like randomly full of miracles?? Love my life. We contacted so many people and next things I knew I was being a spiritual therapist for 6 people at once. Literally nobody on Facebook ever responds, so the fact that not only everyone responded but they all gave me their life stories and wanted to talk about the gospel and were seeking hope in that moment. Both me and Hermana Cabrera were flipping through the scriptures at rapid speeds trying to help people. Aaaaand hopefully they're all sufficiently helped and spiritually uplifted. Aaaand want to make covenants with God. That'd be SICK.

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT:

My testimony of temples grew SO much this week. Literally just sitting inside the temple made me want to do everything I could to go and live with God again, because if we can find THAT much peace in just a building on this earth, imagine how incredible the peace and spirit is going to be in the next life. The temple is literally the House of the Lord. How incredible that we get to experience that. On earth. Today. Don't you think that most people would give just about everything to people to get that heavenly gift? THAT is why missionary work is important. Cause we're giving people the opportunity to go to the House of the Lord. HOW COOL IS MY LIFE?? Invitation to everyone!! Go reserve a spot to go to the temple!! It's so amazing and you'll be so incredibly blessed! And if you happen to be living in the DC/Maryland area right now, just know I'm jealous of you. And live it up.

LOVE YOU ALL!! And Christ loves you more!!
