You're sitting on a cheeto....

Heyyyy what's up peeps!! Life is going pretty swell here in the DMV. We have transfers this week, except we just got the call that we arent getting transferred, which I'm super pumped about but honestly kinda shocked. I'm out of training now, and the trainees never stay with their trainers, and I was expecting to go to a spanish area, but instead I still get to be with Strathmore YSA! I'm super excited, because I have come to love these people so so much. And my companions are amazing so it'll be awesome.

THINGS THAT MADE ME LAUGH:
  • In our couch we found a single cheeto, which is gross. However, what is even nastier is I have been here for 11 weeks, and I have not eaten cheetos once. Sister Weight has been here for 13 weeks and she has not eaten cheetos once. Sister Winder has been here for 5 weeks and has also not eaten cheetos once. Sister Weight confirmed that the sister here before had a loathing for cheetos so she did not eat them. We got the couch a few weeks before I came, and the Elders found it on Facebook marketplace. MEANING!! This cheeto has been in our couch for AT LEAST 17 weeks. So that's cool. Every time we sat down on that side of our couch Sister Winder would go "you're sitting on a cheeto". And SO we bet our district leader wouldn't eat it. So he did. So good old Elder Goodrich managed to swallow an at least 17 week old cheeto. Props to him.
  • ROACH UPDATE!! There are now roaches in our oven. No they do not burn. They are inside the clock of our oven. Ya know the lil green digital clock that is on every oven? Yeah so they are stuck in between the glass that we can touch and where the time shows, and there's like 4 or 5 of them and we have no idea how they got there. But if you tap the glass hard enough they go away, only to return in a few minutes. So that's just scrumptious. (Also they're everywhere else too the oven is just a new development)

MILAGRITOS:
  • Oh my goodness so you know my favorite member of the ward? Mia? Yeah so she's still my favorite. Another member moved in with her a bit ago so we taught them both a lesson this week and it was so good and they're such good missionaries and MIA GOT US CHRISTMAS PRESENTS. insert tears here. I literally love her. She painted all of us Book of Mormons and mine is the Uruguay temple with the flag and a Washington DC flag on the back cover. She's too cute and also she opened her mission papers and I had a dream she got called to Uruguay and I was her trainer so if that happens, just know I called it.
  • We had a Christmas program at church! Let me tell you, when the bishop stood up a few weeks ago and asked for musical numbers for the Christmas program, I was convinced not a single person would sign up. We're in a YSA ward for crying out loud. HOWEVER pretty much the whole meeting was musical numbers and they were amazing and brought such a spirit to church and wow I'm just grateful for talented people.
  • I don't know if this should go under things that made me laugh or miracles, but we had service again this week at St. Camillus, and since we didn't know if we were being transferred or not we all said goodbye to all my favorite friends there. My word I love all those people so much. But Joyce, the most soft spoken little lady ever said to me "You know, out of all the sisters who come here, I'm never going to forget you because you're the one who's always dancing whenever I look at you" Now I knew I danced randomly sometimes, but I didn't think I did it that often haha. Turns out, Joyce likes my dancing. And honestly that comment made me cry cause look how much you can impact someone just by living life. I didnt realize I was doing something that anyone would notice (dance like nobody's watching am I right) but Joyce noticed. First off, get you a Joyce. Second off, go and live your life and dance like nobody's watching. And change someone's life just by being you! (I'm fully aware how cliche that is I'm embarrassed for myself.)

GO LIGHT THE WORLD!!!

Anyway this is a shorter letter but I love you all!! If you want to send me a Christmas card I wouldn't complain one bit.
